Thai exports in September 2021 increased by 17.1% for the seventh consecutive month, reaching a value of US$ 23,036 million, with strong growth in products such as rubber and fresh longan. The first nine months of 2021 saw exports valued at US$ 199,997.7 million, a 15.5% increase. Imports in September also increased by 30.3%, resulting in a trade balance of US$ 609.8 million. The Ministry of Commerce is working with the private sector to expand exports and plans to promote Thai products in new markets. The Deputy Prime Minister also announced plans to open 11 more border trade checkpoints and implement an action plan for high value agriculture and e-commerce development.
