Thailand's agricultural exports, particularly essential food products halal products, have seen steady growth despite the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, the global halal food market was valued at $1.15 trillion, with the United States, Netherlands, and China being the leading exporters. Thailand ranked 12th globally, 3rd in Asia, and 1st in ASEAN, with an export value of $29.33 million. The first half of 2020 saw exports valued at $14,494 million. The country's top five halal markets are China, 57 Muslim countries, the United States, India, and Russia. Thailand has the potential to become one of the top ten exporters of halal food with innovation, value addition, and privatization. Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) already exports halal products like fresh and processed chicken to various countries, ensuring quality through halal agency certification.
