Thailand's fruit exports, including durians and longans, to China have seen a significant increase from January to July 2021, reaching 131.16 billion baht, a 48.31% increase from the previous year. The annual export target has been set at 180 billion baht. The Thai Ministry of Commerce is implementing measures to further promote longan exports to China, including supporting distribution points and negotiating with potential importers. The success of Thai fruit exports is attributed to various factors such as customs clearance at Chinese ports, financial support from the Export-Import Bank of Thailand, the strong economic recovery of China, and the depreciation of the Thai baht.
