The active strawberry sales season in Moldova is two months longer than usual

The season of remontant wild strawberries (strawberries) continues in Moldova. After several truly autumn days at the end of this week, judging by the weather forecasts, the daytime will again be almost like summer. We can assume that strawberries will be on sale for at least another week. That is, this year the active sales season for this berry will be almost two months longer than in previous years, EastFruit reports. According to EastFruit, the level of wholesale prices for strawberries in Moldova has risen to 70-80 lei/kg ($3.84-4.39/kg) and is almost equal to the price level for this berry at the beginning of this season. The Pomușoarele Moldovei association believes that the main source of supply of remontant strawberries to market and boutique retail is local small farmers and rural households.
