The ADS Equino de Lorca will develop training, research, and technological transfer with the Cifea.

The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia has given the green light to a collaboration agreement between the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and the Livestock Sanitary Defense Group of Lorca with the aim of reinforcing the health defense and genetic improvement of the equine herd in the Region of Murcia. The agreement will allow the development of training, research, and technology transfer activities in the facilities of the Integrated Center for Agricultural Training and Experiences (Cifea) in Lorca, which is also a National Reference Center for Livestock. Under this agreement, a program of vaccinations and health treatments for equines, and another for specific feeding will be launched; annual fertility assessments of stallions will be carried out to know their potential; and the breeding of mares in livestock farms in the Region of Murcia will be made possible through artificial insemination techniques.
