The Rural Development Administration's Agricultural Science Institute announced that this result was derived through a human application test on the elderly using domestic silkworm pupae, conducted with Gachon University last month on the 27th. The research team from the Agricultural Science Institute and Gachon University had 36 healthy elderly individuals over the age of 65 consume one serving of domestic silkworm pupae powder per day for 4 weeks. The results showed an increase in lean body mass by 2.6%, muscle mass by 2.5%, and protein mass by 2.1%, among other indicators related to overall muscle health.
