Spanish agricultural rent is expected to reach 41,262 million euros in 2025, which represents an increase of 12.9% compared to the previous year, according to the first estimate of the main economic figures of the agricultural sector by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA). The Department has pointed out that this estimate has not taken into account the impact of African swine fever following the appearance of an outbreak in Barcelona, which at the moment only affects wild boars and not production farms. The production of the agricultural branch has reached its historical maximum, 75,676 million euros, 10.1% more than in 2024, with an increase in both the quantities produced (7.3%) and the prices perceived (2.6%), according to the MAPA. The volume of work in agriculture has increased this year by 2.9%, so the agricultural income in current terms per Annual Work Unit (UTA) has risen by 9.7%, to 48,712 euros.
