The apple harvest in Russia in 2025 will be higher than last year's — Ministry of Agriculture

It is planned to harvest around 1.9 million tons of these fruits. This year, Russia may harvest up to 1.9 million tons of apples (compared to 1.7 million tons last year). This was reported by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut during a working trip to the Tambov region. "We expect a good apple harvest this year at the level of 1.9 million tons. In general, our fruits and berries will be at the level of more than 2 million tons. This will allow us to increase our level of food security, which is set at 60%. Last year we achieved just over 41%, this year we expect to reach the level of 45%," said the minister. She clarified that the main volume of apple harvesting this year will be provided by the central regions of Russia, as the south of the country suffered from drought.
