The agroclimatic conditions are generally satisfactory, with a slight increase in sugar yield per hectare over the past five years. The Eurasian Sugar Association reports that sugar production from beet syrup has concluded in the EAEU countries, with a total production of 253.2 thousand tons from beet syrup and molasses since the start of the 2023 harvest. Russia's beet sugar production for the 2023/24 season reached 6.9 million tons, with a total sugar production in the EAEU countries amounting to 7.58 million tons since the season's start. The production projections for the end of the 2023/24 season remain steady at 7.65 million tons.
