The Argentine Agroindustrial Council (CAA-EERR) has appealed to the national government to reconsider the rise in export duties on certain products, following a virtual meeting with senior officials. The CAA, which represents 57 agro-industrial entities, highlighted that while some products have seen export duties reduced to zero, others have seen an increase, leading to a complex situation. These products include cotton, rice, sugar, and dairy goods, among others. The CAA is proposing an 'exchange mechanism' to evaluate specific products affected by export duties and aims to align their treatment with other regional economies. The council also emphasizes its commitment to boost exports with added value and create more job opportunities.
