Vietnam's cashew nut exports in November 2022 increased by 8.0% in volume and 2.3% in value compared to October 2022, but decreased by 5.4% in volume and 17.5% in value compared to November 2021. The average export price of cashew nuts reached $5,676/ton, down 7.2% compared to October 2022 and down 12.7% compared to November 2021. The exports to most of the main markets decreased, except China and the United Arab Emirates. The US, the largest market, is experiencing a downward trend in imports, shifting supply to Ivory Coast and Nigeria. The European Union (EU) imported 155.31 thousand tons of cashew nuts from the world market, worth 1,027 billion euros, down 3.4% in volume but up 7.4% in value compared to the same period in 2021. Canada's imports of raw cashew nuts decreased, but there was an increase in imported processed cashew products, indicating a decrease in consumption demand due to inflation but a continued preference for Vietnamese cashews due to their quality.
