In Aydın's Nazilli district, a distribution ceremony for disease-free certified chestnut saplings was organized by the Aydın Governor's Office, the Nazilli Kaymakam's Office, and the Aydın Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Chestnut saplings of the Ertan variety, which can combat the Chestnut Gall Wasp and Branch Cancer with 100% success, and the Bouche de Betizac variety, the most widely planted in Europe, were distributed to Nazilli producers. 50% of the 4,000 saplings, supported by 50% from the Aydın Provincial Development and Coordination Presidency (YİKOB), were given to the mukhtars of 12 neighborhoods above 900 meters in elevation to be delivered to the producer at the Nazilli Cotton Research Institute garden.
