European Union countries exported 43 percent more wine to Russia in the autumn compared to last year. Examining the data announced by the European Commission, RBC newspaper writes that in the period between August and October, Europe sold nearly 1 million hectoliters of wine to Russia. The countries with the highest increase in wine sales to Russia were France with 89.5 percent, Germany with 78 percent, Italy with 58 percent and Latvia with 37.4 percent. Among the countries with lower export capacity, the highest increase was 6 times in Austria. Bulgaria also managed to increase its wine sales to Russia 5 times.
