Production of meal in Russia is growing almost 5 times faster than the world average — experts

Russia is a global leader in the production of sunflower meal. The Russian oilseed crushing industry is showing growth significantly outpacing global trends. Over the past decade, the volume of this product's output in the country has increased by 125%, while the global figure rose by 26%. Russia's share in the global market has reached 4% and has all the prerequisites for further growth. This was reported by OleoScope analysts at the forum "Grain and Oilseeds 2025: Feed Vector." The 2025/26 season promises to be a record for meal production. The soybean harvest in Russia is expected to reach 9 million tons. According to OleoScope estimates, processing will amount to 7.3 million tons. Combined with the export duty on beans, this stimulates deep processing within the country.
