With the harvest completed, the 2025 soybean crop in Goiás registered a record production of 20.1 million tons, an increase of 18.6% compared to the previous year. One of the factors responsible for the result was the 2.3% expansion in the planted area, which provided a 16% increase in productivity, rising from 3,424 kg/ha to 3,971 kg/ha. The data, released by the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA) of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), indicate that the state remains among the three largest grain producers in the country. The prominence of soybeans in Goian agriculture is reinforced by technological advancement and the performance of rural producers. In addition to the oilseed, other crops are also expected to show growth in 2025.
