The 'First Cannery' in Georgievsk, a major producer of canned fruits and vegetables in the Stavropol Territory, has seen a significant increase in production in the first half of 2020, with a 1.7 times rise to 504 thousand cans. The plant has implemented new technological production lines and has processed over 400 tons of courgettes, a 135-ton increase from 2019. With a capacity of 50 million cans per year, the cannery produces approximately 20 items and received a subsidy of 5 million rubles for equipment modernization in 2019. Established in pre-revolutionary times as a tomato brewery, the cannery has grown to become one of the region's largest producers of canned fruits and vegetables.
