China is a major player in the global grain market, holding half of the world's wheat reserves and over 60% of corn. During the "KAZAKHSTAN GRAIN CONFERENCE 2020: ONLINE EDITION", it was discussed that Kazakhstan, which is increasing its wheat production to approximately 16 million tons this season, could potentially supply grain to China. There is also growing demand for Kazakhstan's barley in China due to its lower price compared to other grains and China's increased import duties on Australian barley. Despite Kazakhstan facing quality and logistics barriers to enter the Chinese market, China is willing to invest in stable quality grain and work with suppliers who are willing to do so.
