Cambodia has experienced a significant surge in mango exports, with a 149.5% increase in fresh mango exports and a 191.49% increase in dried mango exports from the first 11 months of the year. The Chinese market is identified as a new growth area, despite only importing 638 tons of fresh mangoes. Cambodia is the primary mango-producing region in Southeast Asia and plans to expand mango cultivation to 130,000 hectares. The country can now export fresh mangoes to China directly, following an agreement making it the second fresh fruit after bananas. The Chinese Embassy in Cambodia is conducting remote risk analysis and inspection of Cambodian longan and pangasius for potential direct export to the Chinese market.
