In the 2022/2023 season, Ukrainian apple exporters expanded their sales markets, particularly in European and African countries such as Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, France, Guinea, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, and Senegal. Uzbekistan and Turkey played a significant role in unloading leftover apples from the previous season and at the beginning of the current season. Volodymyr Gurzhii, head of USPA Fruit, mentioned that apple logistics in 2023 is more predictable and even shows a trend towards a decrease in cost. However, Ukraine exported 20,000 tons less of apples in the 2022/23 season compared to the previous season.
