Between January and July 2024, Ukraine imported 7.4 thousand tons of lard, pork fat, and poultry fat, marking a 46.8% decrease compared to the same period last year, as reported by the State Customs Service. The monetary value of these imports was $9.8 million, a 33.3% drop from the first seven months of 2023. The primary suppliers were Poland (50.3%), Spain (22%), and Germany (11.8%). Additionally, lard prices in Ukraine have been on a decline for the past six months.
