The crayfish fishing season has started in Ukraine

Since the beginning of July, the ban on catching crayfish has been lifted in most regions of Ukraine, with the exception of the reservoirs of the Dniester Basin in Odesa. The ban has been in effect since the end of last year. This was reported by the press service of the State Agency for Land Reclamation and Fisheries. "One person can catch 30 crayfish in a day. At the same time, the minimum size of crayfish that fishermen are allowed to catch is 9-11 cm (depending on the reservoirs), the agency specifies. At the same time, the State Fisheries Agency reminds of the prohibition of manual harvesting of crayfish during the dark hours of the day (later than an hour after sunset and earlier than an hour before sunrise) with the use of illumination.
