Global bovine milk production experienced a minor rise in 2023 and is projected to continue this upward trend in 2024, as per data from the Argentine Dairy Chain Observatory and the UK's Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board. However, the growth rate is decelerating due to factors such as low international prices, decreased demand, rising costs, and unfavorable weather conditions. While the US, EU, and Australia are expected to see increased production, a decline is anticipated in the UK, Argentina, and New Zealand. In South America, only Brazil and Uruguay reported growth in 2023, with Argentina and Chile facing a decrease due to drought and escalating production costs.
