The crioulo horse generates R$ 5.36 billion annually in Brazil, a value that includes, in addition to the commercialization of animals, related activities such as the veterinary market, medications, feed, tourism, and the growing flow of sports events linked to horse breeding. The data comes from the Crioulo Horse GDP study, released this Wednesday (3) by the Brazilian Association of Crioulo Horse Breeders (ABCCC) and the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture at the University of São Paulo (Esalq/USP). According to the survey, areas of clothing trade and services, such as saddleries and farriery, are also included in the tally. Thus, considering a herd of 508,080 animals, it can be stated that each crioulo horse is responsible for generating R$ 10,549.93 per year in Brazil.
