The fruit harvest in the Czech Republic in 2023 was the smallest in six years, with a 26% decrease compared to 2022, totaling 121,946 tons of fruit. The apple harvest, the main type of fruit cultivated in the country, was the lowest in 12 years, totaling 100,604 tons and decreasing by 27% from the previous year. The weather, including frosts during blooming, and a decrease in garden land area, as well as low purchasing prices, were factors contributing to the decreased fruit harvest.
