During the webinar "Dialogue on Partnership between Ukraine and the International Fund for Agricultural Development" (IFAD), the approval of the DOBRO project – "Development of Business and Opportunities for Rural Territories" was officially announced. This is the first full-fledged IFAD project in Ukraine. The main goal of the project is to create sustainable and competitive production chains of agricultural producers in rural communities. As part of the project, it is planned to allocate an initial $15 million to support small farmers. In particular, three target groups in the agricultural sector: youth, women, and veterans. In times of war, they form the basis of local economic growth, and their participation is not only a social priority but also an economic necessity. An important component of the project is also climate resilience: the war has increased environmental risks: soil degradation, pollution, and water scarcity.
