Europe's largest flax oil production plant, operated by the company "ASVA" in the Azov District of the Rostov Region, has shipped the first batches of export products, reports the website of the Don government. "ASVA" plans to export at least 70% of its finished products, quotes the source from Igor Burakov, the general director of the Investment Development Agency of the Rostov Region. Flax oil and cake have already been shipped to China, Turkey, and Chile. Bulk oil exports are being carried out from the Rostov port, and container shipments are also being sent through the port of Novorossiysk. In September, the "ASVA" plant processed over 8,000 tons of flax, producing around 2,900 tons of flax oil and 4,900 tons of flax cake. The raw materials were mainly purchased from farmers in the Rostov Region and the Stavropol Territory, with plans to purchase flax in the Volga region and the Southern Urals.
