The EBRD and the Ministry of Economy have agreed on investments in the Lower Dniester and Tatarbunary irrigation systems.

Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi met with a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led by EBRD Managing Director for Ukraine and Moldova Arvids Turkners and Operations Director Jean-Marc Peterschmitt. Taras Vysotskyi thanked the EBRD representatives for their support in the development of the irrigation sector in Ukraine. He also spoke about the work of the newly unified Ministry, noting that it would contribute to the development of Ukraine's agricultural sector and provide additional support on the path to European integration. The parties discussed the process of establishing water user associations (WUAs) in Ukraine, the inventory of irrigation equipment in Ukraine, and its subsequent transfer to the newly established WUAs.
