A workshop, organized by development agencies with coasts on the Black Sea, aimed at evaluating the aquatic products in the Black Sea. The two-day workshop, which started in Sinop, discussed the economic potential of the Black Sea and shared up-to-date information on the aquaculture sector. It also increased interaction with sector stakeholders and created a common agenda for the sustainable fishing and aquaculture sector in the Black Sea region. The North Anatolian Development Agency highlighted that the Black Sea provides 70-80 percent of Turkey's total marine product catch and that cage fishing off the coast of provinces like Sinop, Samsun, Ordu, Trabzon, Artvin, and provinces of the Aegean Region has reached a significant capacity.
