The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has proposed a draft decision to implement export quotas for buckwheat and ferrous scrap metals within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The draft suggests a quota of 3.5 thousand tons for Kazakhstan for buckwheat exports, with zero quotas for all other EAEU countries for the next three months. For ferrous scrap, the quota is set at 2 million tons for Russia and 3.3 thousand tons for Belarus, with zero quotas for other countries for the next six months. The public comment period for this draft will end on June 30, 2021.
