The Egyptian Sudanese Company for Development and Multiple Investments is planning to expand its meat imports from Africa by considering contracts with Somalia and Chad for live and chilled meat, following successful imports from Sudan, Djibouti, and Uganda. The company, established in April 2021 with a capital of 500 million pounds, has already signed a contract to import 700 tons of beef and lamb from Uganda for Eid al-Adha and is expecting deliveries of 12,000 head of cattle from Djibouti and Sudan in the future.
