Business involving hydrated and anhydrous ethanol was only sporadic in the last week of November in the spot market of the state of São Paulo. This is what the surveys from the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) indicate. According to researchers, agents from distributors were focused on withdrawals of products acquired in previous weeks. On the selling side, only a few mills were active in the spot market. Thus, between November 24 and 28, the Cepea/Esalq Indicator for hydrated ethanol for the state of São Paulo closed at R$ 2.8653/liter (net of ICMS and PIS/Cofins), an increase of 0.35% compared to the previous period. For anhydrous ethanol, the Cepea/Esalq Indicator closed at R$ 3.3004/liter, net of taxes (without PIS/Cofins), an increase of 1.76% in the same comparison.
