The European Union Council has decided to reduce or eliminate duties on a range of agricultural products, such as dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and meat products. The corresponding decision has been published on the Council's website. Market access for the most sensitive products, such as sugar, poultry, eggs, wheat, corn, and honey, will remain more restricted and gradual. Full liberalization will be considered only for certain non-sensitive products, such as milk and dairy products. The European Union Council reports that the adopted decision will contribute to an increase in trade volumes between Ukraine and the EU. At the same time, it is noted that further access of Kyiv to the European market will depend on Ukraine's progress in bringing goods into compliance with European standards in the field of animal welfare, pesticides, and veterinary drugs.
