The World Trade Organization (WTO) has ruled in favor of the EU in a lawsuit against the US over Spanish black olives. The US failed to comply with a previous ruling that found its imposition of anti-subsidy duties on Spanish black olives to be inconsistent with WTO rules. The US, which had imposed duties of between 30 and 44% on these imports in 2018, is now required to take immediate action to implement the ruling and remove the duties.
