The European Commission allowed Bulgaria to vaccinate sheep against sheep pox, but the process is slow. Why?

The Association for the Breeding and Raising of Marino Sheep reported that the Ministry of Agriculture and Food has received permission from the European Union's veterinary authorities to vaccinate all healthy animals against sheep pox in order to prevent the spread of the dangerous infection. The vaccine is registered in Bulgaria, meeting European requirements. However, the association questions why the vaccination process is slow, due to the position of Simeon Karakolev, co-chairman of the National Sheep and Goat Association, who this week organized inquiries to all farmers in the country to see if they agree to widespread vaccination against the infectious disease.
