During the first quarter of the current agricultural year, EU imports of vegetable oils from Russia experienced a significant decrease, with volumes dropping by almost seven times to 1,648 tons. This includes 1,108 tons of rapeseed oil and 400 tons of sunflower oil, with only marginal amounts of soybean oil. In contrast, the same period last year saw imports of 11,512 tons. The reduction in imports is attributed to high duties on these products, which have made deep processing more profitable for Russians.
