The Giresun Chamber of Agriculture in Turkey is anticipating the government to set the purchase price for hazelnuts between $3.50 before the 2021 harvest. The chamber believes this will be beneficial for producers and maintain a healthy free market. Last year, the purchase price was set at 22.5 lira per kilogram, which was equivalent to $3.50. The chamber is hopeful that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will maintain this price to ensure producers can continue their work with optimism.
