The export tariff on sunflower oil from the Russian Federation in February 2026 increases by 2.1% to 9,495 rubles per ton from 9,298.6 rubles per ton in January. The tariff on sunflower meal will remain zero for the second consecutive month. This calculation was presented by the Ministry of Agriculture. The indicative prices from which the tariffs were calculated were: for oil $1,233.3 per ton ($1,200.2 per ton last month), for meal - $195.2 ($195.7). The size of the tariff is 70% of the difference between the base and indicative prices (the average arithmetic of market prices for the month). The Russian Federation introduced the "sunflower damper" mechanism on September 1, 2021. Initially, the tariffs were calculated in dollars, and since July 2022, in rubles. The base price for sunflower oil is 82,500 rubles per ton, for meal - 15,875 rubles per ton. In August 2024, floating tariffs were extended for two years to September 1, 2026. In October 2025, the government extended them to August 31, 2028.
