Ukraine: The export of milk whey increased by 54.2% in the first half of the year

In the first half of 2023, Ukraine exported 7.4 thousand tons of whey, which is 54.2% more than in the same period last year. This was reported by the State Customs Service. Although in monetary terms, exports decreased by 5.2% compared to the figure for January-June 2022 - to $5.5 million. The most active buyers of Ukrainian whey in January-June were China (51.8%), Poland (11.3%) and Jordan (6.6%). During the first half of this year, Ukraine increased its import of whey by 68.2% to 3.7 thousand tons.
