Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that 500 tons of wheat flour from Ukraine is being sent to Syria as part of the 'Grain from Ukraine' humanitarian program. The program, which aims to provide grain to the poorest countries in Africa, will provide flour to 33,250 families in Syria, enough to feed 167,000 people for a month. This comes as the UN highlights that over 12 million Syrians do not have adequate food access, with three million in acute hunger, due to civil war, reduced agricultural production, and increased food prices.
