Iran is poised to begin exporting eggs to Russia for the first time next week, a development announced by Hamid Reza Kashani, the chairman of the union of poultry farmers. This initiative follows Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Moscow and the establishment of a free trade agreement with the EAEU countries, aiming to enhance Iran's product exports to Russia amidst stringent sanitary and quarantine protocols. Iran aims to boost its egg exports to 150-160 thousand tons by March 2025, an increase from the 130 thousand tons exported in the previous 12 months. This move comes at a time when Russia is experiencing a significant 61.35% increase in the price of chicken eggs compared to the same period in 2022. The free trade agreement is anticipated to elevate the trade volume between Iran and the EAEU countries to $18-20 billion annually within the next 5-7 years.
