The first inspection of pine nuts, a significant export product from Turkey, destined for Italy, was conducted in Aydın. These pine nuts, primarily produced in the Koçarlı district villages and collected under challenging conditions, are a major income source after figs, olives, cotton, and chestnuts. Despite the dangerous harvesting process, workers climb trees to collect cones, which are then prepared for sale. The Söke District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate inspected the pine nuts and prepared export documents, and these valuable pine nuts will soon be exported to Italy.
