The INDEC released the Fishery Industrial Production Index (IPI) for the month of August, which showed a growth in aquaculture of 14.1% compared to the same month of the previous year, and a 36.1% increase in the accumulated figure for the first 8 months of the year, indicators that were driven by the activity of companies located in the reservoirs of the Limay River. The current production of these salmonids is around 10,000 tons per year, and after the exponential growth recorded from 2018 and 2019, "we are in a period of stabilization, and of seeking to improve the efficiency of our establishments," assured Andrés Barresi of the Salmon Trout company, which is located in the Alicurá reservoir.
