Mangosteen trees have become a significant source of income for farmers in Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam, Vietnam, with each tree earning over 2 million VND annually. However, recent storms have damaged many trees, reducing yield and fruit quality. Despite efforts to restore the trees, yields have been low. The district is implementing a mangosteen development project and is being guided by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development on cultivation and restoration techniques to increase productivity and income. Quang Nam province is piloting mangosteen planting to boost the garden economy and increase domestic consumption and export opportunities.
