Duties on barley and corn will also remain zero. The new rates are in effect from December 17 to 25, inclusive. The taxes are calculated based on the following indicative prices: $227.1 per ton for wheat ($226.1 in the previous period); $218.2 for barley ($213.6 before); and $205.5 for corn ($208.5 last week). In times of tense regional and global competition, Romanian farmers have raised their voices against the EU in an effort to make them reconsider their fertilizer policy.
