The General Administration of Customs in China has recently expanded the list of fresh fruits that can be exported to the country, including durian from the Philippines, longan from Cambodia, bananas from Myanmar, citrus from Iran, pineapple from Indonesia, avocado from Kenya, and dragon fruit from Ecuador. This decision follows a significant agreement between the Philippines and China, valued at $2.09 billion, which includes the import of 50,000 tons of durians. Meanwhile, Myanmar has secured access for its bananas after signing a protocol with China, and Indonesia has gained permission to export pineapples. Kenya is now able to export fresh avocados, and Ecuador's yellow and red dragon fruits have been approved, with the Chinese market predicted to become the largest for this fruit.
