On December 3, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution establishing a mechanism for monitoring the export of soybeans and rapeseed. The document aims to ensure the fair application of the exemption from export duty for certain categories of agricultural producers.
The new Procedure defines a mechanism for monthly monitoring, which will be carried out by the Ministry of Economy, to verify the correspondence of the volumes of exported products with the data contained in the State Agrarian Register regarding the actually grown products. If discrepancies between the declared and actually grown volumes are found, the Trade and Industrial Chamber of Ukraine is obliged to cancel the expert opinions.
The introduction of such a mechanism ensures that only those exporters who have actually grown the products themselves will benefit from the exemption from export duty.
The resolution provides for:
transparent and fair administration of the export duty exemption;
prevention of abuse during the export of soybeans and rapeseed;
