Spain: The government of the Canary Islands will allocate 4.8 million euros to cover the 20% increase in livestock aid from the additional POSEI

Today, Monday, the Governing Council approved a credit modification worth 4.8 million euros to address the increase, by 20%, in the funds allocated to certain actions and sub-actions of the additional POSEI corresponding to the 2022 campaign and which benefits the livestock sector of the Archipelago. This budget increase is aimed at paying for additional aid to the beneficiaries of measure III, supporting animal production, specifically premiums for calves born from suckler cows and other cattle; by slaughter of cattle; to the import of fattening calves; to the replacement of dairy cattle with heifers born in the Canary Islands; to the producer of cow's milk, and to human consumption of fresh beef, pork, rabbit, goat, sheep and chicken of local origin.
