The Bolivian government has allocated 44 million Bolivians from the Revolving Fund for Food Security to import up to 10,000 tons of wheat flour, in response to rising international prices due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The move aims to prevent bread shortages and price increases, and also to support small and medium flour production units. The National Confederation of Artisan Bakers and the Federation of Bakers of La Paz have welcomed the decision, expressing hopes for reasonable pricing and widespread distribution of the imported flour.
