The Saratov region in Russia has harvested 6.53 million tons of grain, which is four times more than its local needs, and has exported around 2 million tons of grain and its processed products since the start of the year. The main crop for export is wheat, with over 900 thousand tons being the new crop grain. The main domestic markets for the new crop grain are Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the Volgograd region, while the main international markets are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and the ports of the Krasnodar Territory. To further expand agricultural exports, the region plans to build new logistics chains, modernize production facilities, and invest in new elevator capacities and logistics sites.
