The pistachio harvest has begun in Şanlıurfa, the province in Turkey where the most pistachios are grown. Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak participated in the first harvest. Governor Hasan Şıldak, who joined the pistachio harvest in the rural village of Çakmaklı in the Bozova district, noted that Şanlıurfa ranks first in Turkey for pistachio production, with a capacity of approximately 45 million trees across an area of 220 thousand hectares, and wished for a bountiful and prosperous new season.
